Jordan Daily – Public Security Directorate’s reform programs are yielding significant successes, with 27 inmates passing their exams this year, Brig. Gen. Falah Al-Majali announced Sunday.
The achievements come as part of the directorate’s educational and rehabilitation initiatives, which have increasingly enabled inmates to rebuild their lives and pursue a better future, despite being in correctional facilities.
These successes were facilitated by a close collaboration between the correctional centers and the Ministry of Education, with four schools established within the centers and exams conducted in 15 dedicated rooms. A liaison officer from the ministry has been appointed to oversee the inmates’ educational progress.
Public Security Director Maj. Gen. Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah has further instructed that the families of successful inmates be granted special visits and phone calls to celebrate their achievements. An official ceremony will also be held to honor these inmates, encouraging their continued personal development.
