Jordan Daily – More than 30,000 students have enrolled in schools within Jordan’s Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps for the 2024-2025 academic year, according to data from UNESCO.
Jordan continues its commitment to providing education services to refugee students as part of its longstanding policy to ensure that refugees have access to essential resources, including the right to education.
Since the onset of the Syrian crisis in 2011, Jordan has hosted over 1.3 million Syrian refugees, with approximately 625,025 registered with the UNHCR. Only about 20% of these registered refugees reside in the Zaatari, Mrajeeb Al Fhood , Cyber City , and Azraq camps.
