Jordan Daily – Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson, Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, confirmed that 37,000 Syrian refugees have voluntarily returned from Jordan to Syria.
The refugees began returning to their home country following the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the rise to power of the new president, Ahmad al-Sharaa.
Speaking at a press conference in Mafraq on Tuesday, Al-Momani said that the situation in Syria has significantly changed, and Jordan hopes to see an increase in the number of voluntary returns of Syrian refugees.
