Abu Saileek says Jordan’s economy demonstrates resilience amid geopolitical shocks

Jordan Daily – The Jordanian economy has always succeeded in absorbing geopolitical shocks, particularly the influx of refugees and aggression against brethren in Palestine, said Dr. Khair Abu Saileek, President of the Jordan Economic Forum.

He affirmed that the economic growth rates remain positive, although they have not yet reached the desired level.

Speaking to students at the University of Jordan’s Aqaba branch as part of the Aqaba Political Development Conference on Tuesday, Abu Saileek emphasized that the vision for economic modernization is flexible and takes into account the variables resulting from regional disturbances.

Abu Saileek , who is a member of Parliament , outlined the strategic goals of the economic modernization vision, highlighting the key drivers, initiatives, and sectors upon which the vision is based , praising the robustness and prudence of the country’s monetary policy, asserting that it is a factor of economic stability.

He stated that it is not possible to suspend the work on modernization pathways due to geopolitical challenges in the region, considering the transformation of challenges into opportunities as a national necessity.
