Jordan Daily – Al-Balqa Applied University discussed ways to enhance cooperation in education with a Chinese delegation on Sunday, aiming to benefit from China’s expertise in vocational and technical fields.

The university’s president, Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, said the talks focused on expanding educational partnerships with Chinese institutions, especially in areas such as artificial intelligence, communications, and information technology.

He also highlighted the existing collaboration between the university and Huawei, the Chinese tech giant, which established its first academy in Jordan at the university’s premises. The academy provides students with advanced training in telecommunications technologies.

Al-Ajlouni expressed his hope to create a regional hub for electric vehicle maintenance at the university, noting China’s leadership in this sector and the lack of qualified service centers in Jordan and its neighboring countries.

The Chinese delegation praised the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and China, and stressed the importance of increasing cooperation in various fields. They also visited the Huawei Academy.
