Al-Bataineh: Parliamentary Elections as Means, Not End Goal

By:Jordan Daily

Jordan Daily -The Secretary-General of Irada Party, Nidal Al-Bataineh, said that parliamentary elections serve as a means rather than an ultimate goal. They provide the party with an opportunity to exercise oversight and legislation based on its program, ultimately aiming to form a partisan government or participate in one.

During a meeting with the party’s General Assembly in the Jerash governorate, Al-Bataineh emphasized the party’s vision of a diverse Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, characterized by self-reliance and strength in political, economic, social, and institutional aspects.

He highlighted the party’s commitment to implementing its program through active participation in local governance elections, student councils, unions, chambers of commerce and industry, in addition to parliamentary elections.

Al-Bataineh, who previously served as Minister of Labor in Dr. Omar Razzaz’s government in 2019 and President of the Civil Service Bureau, holds a master’s degree in Quality Management and Organizational Excellence from the University of Wollongong in Australia.
