Al-Kindi Hospital holds medical awareness day at the University of Petra

Jordan Daily-  Al-Kindi Hospital, in cooperation with the University of Petra, organized a medical awareness day on the university’s green campus area, providing free medical services to around 600 students and staff.

The event offered free medical consultations, blood pressure and diabetes tests, CPR training, pharmaceutical and nutrition advice, laboratory tests, and body mass index assessments using the latest equipment, supervised by qualified medical and nursing teams.

The program included scientific lectures and awareness sessions. Dr. Mariam Abu Halweh , Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and IVF, gave a lecture on cervical and breast cancer. Rasha Fakhr Al-Din from the Jordan Breast Cancer Program discussed the program’s role in public awareness, while Alaa Atta, Head of Mammography at Al-Kindi Hospital, spoke about imaging and self-examination methods. Nutrition specialist Salam Jibran presented on smart nutrition during breast cancer treatment, and a breast cancer survivor shared her recovery story.

Dr. Abu Halweh presented honorary shields to the University of Petra and the Jordan Breast Cancer Program.
