Al-Kindi Hospital participates in gastroenterology and hepatology conference

Jordan Daily – Al-Kindi Hospital took part in the 27th Jordanian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Conference, held in conjunction with the 14th Gastroenterology Nursing Conference at the Landmark Hotel in Amman.

The event brought together medical professionals and specialists from across the Arab region to discuss the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, pancreatic, liver, and colon diseases, as well as nursing practices in gastroenterology. The conference also featured hands-on workshops for physicians and nurses.

Ayat Nasser, Head of the Endoscopy Unit at Al-Kindi Hospital, delivered a presentation titled “Safety in Endoscopy Units”, highlighting the importance of adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Nasser emphasized the critical role of reprocessing endoscopes, maintaining surgical-grade sterility in endoscopy rooms, wearing sterile attire, and ensuring continuous training of medical staff.

On the sidelines of the conference, a delegation of Palestinian nurses from An-Najah Hospital visited Al-Kindi’s endoscopy unit. The delegation toured the facility, met with physicians and staff, and reviewed infection control procedures and safety standards. They expressed admiration for the unit’s integrated and state-of-the-art equipment.

Al-Kindi Hospital is a private medical facility offering a wide range of specialties. It houses dedicated centers for bariatric and cosmetic surgery, vascular surgery, fertility treatment, kidney stone fragmentation, interventional radiology, cancer screening (including breast cancer), organ transplantation, cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery.
