Al-Kindi Hospital takes part in international bariatric surgery conference in Amman

Jordan Daily – Al-Kindi Hospital participated in the 5th International Congress of the Jordanian Society for Obesity Surgery, held in cooperation with the International Obesity Society and inaugurated under the patronage of Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdour. The event, attended by the Jordan Medical Association President Dr. Issa Khashashneh and guests from Jordan and abroad, ran for two days at the Sheraton Hotel in Amman.

The hospital showcased its services through a dedicated booth at the conference’s accompanying exhibition, drawing strong interest from participants. Al-Kindi Hospital said its involvement aligns with its strategic plan to support the local community and contribute to scientific and medical activities.

The hospital receives patients from 75 countries and operates a bariatric surgery center it describes as the first of its kind in Jordan and the wider Arab region, and the only center in the Kingdom recognized by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.

Al-Kindi Hospital is a private medical facility offering a wide range of specialties, including bariatric and cosmetic surgery, liposuction, vascular surgery, fertility services, kidney-stone treatment, interventional radiology, cancer screening such as breast cancer diagnostics, organ transplantation, catheterization and open-heart surgery. It also operates a gastrointestinal endoscopy unit and a dedicated emergency department equipped with advanced medical devices and modern ambulances.
