Jordan Daily – In a formal ceremony held at Basman Palace on Tuesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan accepted the credentials of several newly appointed ambassadors, including His Excellency Mr. Manish Chauhan, who has been designated as the Ambassador of India to Jordan.
Ambassador Chauhan is a seasoned diplomat with an extensive career in foreign service, having previously served in various critical positions. His international assignments include postings in Hong Kong, Tehran, Beijing, and Lisbon, demonstrating his diverse experience in global diplomacy.
Within India, he has held numerous roles within the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, contributing to the country’s strategic efforts in areas such as neighborhood diplomacy, external publicity, West Asia & North Africa relations, administration, and multilateral negotiations. His last assignment saw him serve as the Ambassador of India to Portugal.
Mr. Chauhan’s educational background includes a degree in history from Hindu College, Delhi University, following his initial studies at St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj. He is married to Mrs. Ranjeeta Chauhan, and they have two children, a daughter and a son.
