Jordan Daily – The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has launched a self-service system and an electronic attendance and departure system as part of the second phase of its Oracle ERP Human Resources package, in a move to enhance digital transformation and streamline administrative processes.

The new systems automate key HR functions, allowing employees to submit leave and exit requests electronically, update personal information such as address and marital status, and access services without visiting the HR department, GAM said in a statement seen by Jordan Daily.

Optimiza, the project’s technology partner, said the rollout supports GAM’s vision of full digital transformation by improving transparency, efficiency, and the employee experience.

GAM noted the initiative aims to improve institutional performance, reduce manual entry errors, and integrate HR and payroll data for greater accuracy and efficiency. Around 30 electronic services have been added so far, with plans to expand to 80 covering staff clubs, housing, and social funds.
