Jordan Daily – Amman Mayor, Dr. Yousef Shawarbeh, has ordered a halt to the processing of applications for paid parking permits within the city’s jurisdiction.
In a directive sent to municipal department heads and district managers, Dr. Shawarbeh instructed officials to suspend all requests for these permits.
The move is part of a broader strategy tied to Amman’s “Smart City” initiative, which aims to modernize the capital. The suspension will remain in effect until studies associated with the project are completed.
