Arabiyat honored in Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders for 2024

Jordan Daily – Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, the Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), has been recognized in Forbes Middle East’s list of Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders for 2024.
Arabiyat, who assumed his role at the JTB in 2004, has been instrumental in planning and executing an integrated program of international promotional activities.
Under Arabiyat’s management , the JTB, established in 1998 as a public-private partnership, renewed its collaboration agreement with Irish carrier Ryanair in August 2023. The renewed agreement, which extends until 2028, added four more routes, connecting Jordan with 12 European cities.
Prior to his current role, Arabiyat served as the Finance Department Director and Director of Administrative Affairs at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission. He also held positions in various ministries in Jordan, including the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Arabiyat was the Financial and Administrative Manager for the Tourism Development Project.
The Forbes Middle East’s list for 2024 is dominated by the U.A.E., with 54 entries, followed by Saudi Arabia with 19 entries. Egypt made the list with nine entries, while Jordan and Oman each have four representatives on the list.
This recognition underscores the significant contributions of these leaders in advancing the travel and tourism industry in the Middle East.
