Jordan Daily – The Jordanian Armed Forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs from Syria early Wednesday, a military source reported.
The Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with military security and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted the smugglers, resulting in the death of one and the injury of several others, who retreated into Syrian territory.
The seized contraband has been handed over to the relevant authorities, the source added.
