Jordan Daily – The Jordanian Armed Forces thwarted a significant drug smuggling attempt from Syria early on Monday, according to a military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army.
The operation was coordinated with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
Two smugglers were killed and others injured during the operation, which resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics. The confiscated substances have been transferred to the relevant authorities.
The source reaffirmed the commitment of the Jordanian Armed Forces to use all available resources to decisively deal with any threats to Jordanian national security.
