Jordan Daily – Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stressed Thursday the importance of improving combat effectiveness and maintaining high readiness across the Jordan Armed Forces’ various units and formations.
He highlighted the need for these units to stay updated with operational and technical advancements to ensure they are prepared to face any challenges.
Al-Hunaiti’s remarks came during a visit to the Royal Artillery Corps’ 28th and 29th Royal Artillery Battalion, where he was welcomed by the Corps Commander.
The battalion leaders briefed Al-Hunaiti on the units’ responsibilities, tasks, and operational capabilities, as well as the stages of their formation and armament. They also discussed the benefits of the battalions’ weapon systems and their ability to fire at distant targets.
Al-Hunaiti reviewed the units’ weapons, gear, and equipment, and was briefed on their operational capabilities and combat readiness. He emphasized the battalions’ critical role in enhancing the Jordan Armed Forces’ defensive capabilities and strengthening the country’s strategic deterrence system.
At the end of the visit, which was attended by several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces, Al-Hunaiti met with the battalions’ personnel. He conveyed greetings and pride from His Majesty the Supreme Commander and commended the units for their exceptional efforts in maintaining combat readiness. He praised their performance and discipline, reflecting a spirit of commitment and patriotism.
