Jordan Daily - Saudi surgeon Dr. Suha Kaaki has announced the establishment of the Robotic Surgical Society (RSS) of Saudi Arabia, the first specialized association of its kind in the Kingdom, the Gulf, and the wider Middle East.

Launched under the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector- NCNP, the society aims to advance surgical standards through the adoption of robotic technologies, while promoting specialized education, training, and research.

Kaaki, an assistant professor of surgery at King Saud University, said the initiative will serve as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among professionals in the field. The society plans to partner with leading surgical organizations across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf to drive excellence in robotic surgery.

In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Kaaki serves as secretary-general of the Saudi General Surgery Society and supervises a thoracic surgery fellowship program.
