Jordan Daily - The Gulf of Aqaba has been ranked eighth among the world’s best travel destinations for September by Lonely Planet, the international travel guide.
The magazine said the Red Sea destination is an ideal choice for scuba diving and seaside relaxation, with September offering favorable conditions as summer temperatures begin to ease.
Water temperatures reach about 26 degrees Celsius, while high underwater visibility allows divers to explore marine life and coral reefs, the report said.
Aqaba’s appeal as a diving destination is also boosted by its range of underwater attractions, including the Cedar Pride shipwreck and an underwater military museum featuring sunken vessels and aircraft.
Visiting in September also gives travelers an opportunity to avoid peak summer crowds while enjoying milder conditions along the Red Sea coast.
Lonely Planet is one of the world’s leading travel guides, known for its destination rankings and recommendations based on expert assessments and travel experiences.
