Jordan Daily – Nayef Al Fayez, the Chief Commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and Swedish Ambassador to Amman, Alexandra Rydmark , discussed on Monday ways to enhance cooperation opportunities in investment, tourism, creative industries, electronic games, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
In a statement seen by Jordan Daily , Al Fayez affirmed the depth of relations between the two friendly countries and the importance of building on them in a way that serves their common interests in various fields.
He reviewed the incentives and advantages offered by the authority to encourage investors and businessmen to invest in the Aqaba region, which enjoys a safe, stable, and encouraging investment environment capable of attracting and localizing investments.
He explained the opportunities to develop cooperation in the field of electronic games, entrepreneurship, and innovation, and exchange Swedish expertise and knowledge to develop startups and support innovative industries in promising sectors.
Al Fayez pointed to the authority’s efforts to attract Swedish tourism, establish direct flight lines between Aqaba and Sweden, and provide all facilities and procedures for incoming travelers to enjoy the unique and distinctive tourist product offered by Aqaba , Wadi Rum, and Petra.
The Swedish ambassador praised the economic development of the city of Aqaba, expressing her appreciation for the close cooperation between Jordan and Sweden.
She confirmed her country’s readiness to provide full support and open new horizons for joint cooperation in the field of creative industries, electronic games, entrepreneurship, innovation, and exchange of technical and academic experts.
