Jordan Daily – Researchers at the American University of Madaba (AUM), Dr. Ahmad Al- Daraiseh and Dr. Yousef Sanjalawe, have made a significant breakthrough in the field of cryptography with the development of a new efficient random number generator, the State-Based Tent-Map (SBTM).

The SBTM addresses the limitations of existing chaotic-based generators, producing highly secure and statistically robust sequences that are crucial for cryptographic applications. The innovative method surpasses traditional methods by utilizing a modified Tent-Map to generate exceptional keystreams.

Rigorous testing has confirmed the effectiveness of the SBTM, with nearly 98% of randomness tests passing, demonstrating its ability to produce reliable and secure random numbers. This achievement has the potential to significantly improve encryption and security protocols.

The exceptional performance of the SBTM has been recognized internationally, receiving patent approval in Germany. The promising technology is already being incorporated into three novel ciphers, all currently under review, paving the way for even more secure encryption methods in the future.
