Jordan Daily – Ayla Oasis joined nationwide celebrations marking the 79th anniversary of the independence with a series of national events blending heritage, creativity, and national pride.
The resort city was adorned with Jordanian flags, including large banners across Ayla’s commercial district and beaches, creating a festive national atmosphere. A flag distribution initiative, supported by the Aqaba Governorate, provided standardized flagpoles to public institutions, promoting unity across the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
“We take pride in celebrating Independence Day in Ayla and across Aqaba,” said Aqaba Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj in a statement. “It reflects our loyalty to the Hashemite leadership and our commitment to Jordan’s progress under King Abdullah II.”
Public Relations Director Mansour Al-Kabariti highlighted Ayla’s dedication to national occasions: “Our participation reflects a firm commitment to fostering patriotism and celebrating Jordan’s achievements. We aim to showcase Aqaba as both a cultural and tourism destination.”
The festivities featured daily performances by the Jordanian Armed Forces band, traditional sweets distributed by Ayla staff in Jordanian dress, and artistic flag displays on the beaches inspired by Jordan’s history.
Visitors praised Ayla’s creative expression of national pride, noting the unique blend of authenticity and modern celebration.
