Jordan Daily – Ayla Oasis Development Company inaugurated Aqaba’s first public electric vehicle (EV) charging station on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards sustainable transport in Ayla and the wider Aqaba region.
The new station, launched in the presence of Hamzah Al-Haj Hassan, Deputy Chairman and Commissioner of Economic Development and Tourism at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, features two fast-charging units with Direct Current (DC) and one Alternating Current (AC) charging unit. The station offers a variety of connectors to accommodate different EV models, ensuring reliable and high-quality services for users.
Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla Oasis Development Company, emphasized the importance of the new EV charging services in supporting Ayla’s sustainable transport initiatives and advancing the country green transition.
