Jordan Daily – Bank al Etihad Group reported strong financial results for 2025, posting net profits of JOD 85.3 million, up from JOD 54.4 million in 2024- a 57% increase, underscoring the strength of its financial position and growth strategy.
The performance was supported by the strategic merger with Investbank during 2025. The income statement reflected profits from the acquisition starting at the beginning of the second half of the year, the Bank said in a statement seen by Jordan Daily.
Total assets reached JOD 12.5 billion as of December 31, 2025, compared with JOD 8.4 billion at the end of 2024, an increase of JOD 4.1 billion. Excluding the acquisition impact, group assets grew by approximately JOD 2 billion, representing 19% growth.
Net direct credit facilities rose to JOD 6.4 billion at year-end 2025, up from JOD 4.6 billion in 2024, an increase of JOD 1.8 billion. Excluding the acquisition, growth amounted to JOD 582 million, or 10%.
Customer deposits climbed to JOD 9.4 billion as of December 31, 2025, compared with JOD 6.4 billion in 2024, marking a JOD 3 billion increase. Without the acquisition effect, deposits grew by JOD 1.6 billion, or 21%.
Total equity increased to JOD 1 billion, up from JOD 693 million, reflecting a rise of JOD 307 million, strengthening the bank’s capital base.
The board recommended distributing10% cash dividends and 7.6% bonus shares, which would raise capital to JOD 350 million, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.
Chairman Basem Salfiti said the results reflect the bank’s resilient business model and digital transformation efforts.
CEO Muntaser Dawwas said the merger between Bank al Etihad and Investbank, along with the acquisition of the operations of the Egyptian Arab Land Bank in Jordan, is expected to further strengthen the bank’s capital base, enhance its ability to finance growth in vital sectors, positively impact the national economy, and reinforce its position as one of the leading banking institutions in the Jordanian market and the region.
