Jordan Daily – Rescue teams recovered the bodies of a Belgian woman and her son on Monday, a day after they were swept away by flash floods in the southern Shoubak district, authorities said.
The pair had gone missing during severe weather conditions that triggered heavy flooding in the region.
According to a spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate, search and rescue units from the Civil Defense, local police, and gendarmerie forces located the bodies after a prolonged operation in difficult terrain and adverse weather.
The bodies have been evacuated, and an investigation into the incident is underway, the spokesperson added.
