Jordan Daily – The Central Bank of Jordan on Monday warned citizens to avoid dealing with unlicensed institutions that claim to offer loans or help secure bank loans.
The bank said in a statement that these activities constitute financial fraud, a risk it has repeatedly highlighted.
“The Central Bank of Jordan warns all citizens to refrain from dealing with any unlicensed institution that claims to offer loans or facilitate access to loans from banks and financial institutions, as this exposes them to the risk of financial fraud,” the statement said.
“The safe and proper way to obtain any financial or banking product or service is through approaching one of the banks or financial institutions licensed under the Central Bank of Jordan Law. We urge citizens to consult the list of licensed banks and financial institutions operating in the Kingdom.”
