Chaos in Rafah as U.S.-Israeli aid center attacked, analysts warn of forced displacement plan

Jordan Daily – A U.S.-Israeli aid initiative in Rafah descended into chaos Tuesday after residents stormed a food distribution center run by a private security firm, reportedly staffed by ex-military Americans. The center had begun distributing canned goods using iris scans, sparking outrage after several individuals were detained. Armed guards opened fire as crowds overran the site, forcing their retreat.

Analysts say the incident may be part of a broader strategy. Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar described the event not as spontaneous unrest, but a “calculated step” toward mass displacement. He warned of a U.S.-backed plan to trigger a humanitarian surge toward the Egyptian border, enabling a forced exodus under fire.

Former Egyptian Deputy FM Ambassador Mohamed Morsi echoed the concerns, alleging over 1,000 former U.S. military are operating under the guise of aid. He criticized the sidelining of the UN, which condemned the disorder and insisted it has structured systems for humanitarian relief.

Both analysts suggest the chaos is deliberate, aiming to collapse order in Gaza, pressure civilians southward, and facilitate an Israeli ground offensive—effectively coercing Palestinians into Egypt under duress.

Calls are mounting for Egypt to resist any “soft passage” of demographic change and to expose what critics label a U.S. manipulation of aid for strategic ends.
