Jordan Daily – Foreign minister Ayman Safadi met China’s Middle East envoy Zhai Jun in Amman on Monday to discuss ways to stop the Gaza war and deliver humanitarian aid.
Safadi thanked China for backing a U.N. General Assembly resolution last week that called for an immediate ceasefire, civilian protection and respect for international law in Gaza, where Israeli air strikes have killed more than 8000 people.
He said the resolution reflected the common values and principles of the U.N. and urged the Security Council to act on it and end the violence and bloodshed , praising China’s support for humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
