Jordan Daily – Classic Fashion Apparel Industry Ltd. Co., in collaboration with several partners, spearheaded a tree-planting initiative at Al-Nahda Secondary School for Boys and Girls in Ramtha.
The project saw 70 trees planted, marking a commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
Employees from Classic Fashion volunteered alongside representatives from Needle Craft, United Creations, and Al Masara in a collective effort to promote environmental awareness. The initiative aims to enhance green spaces and instill sustainable practices in future generations.
Jayprakash Nair, Chief Administrative Officer of Classic Fashion, highlighted the importance of such initiatives. “I’m very happy to attend this event on behalf of Classic Fashion. My sincere thanks to the factories for taking the initiative to make this happen,” Nair said.
He emphasized the environmental impact of tree planting, stating, “One tree per person could result in planting 10 million trees in Jordan. This is what we need from everyone- it’s time to make it happen.”
Nair also expressed his appreciation for the support received from the school and community. “I want to thank the entire management of the school. We are all looking at the environmental aspects today, and Classic Fashion is taking strong initiatives to support such causes in Jordan,” he added.
Raya Abudalbouh, Assistant in Training and Development/CSR at Classic Fashion, highlighted the broader goals of the initiative.”Nature is the primary source of life, and it is a trust that we all must uphold. With this in mind, our deep commitment to preserving the environment and our dedication to tree planting come as fundamental steps towards enhancing environmental sustainability,” she said.
The event is part of Classic Fashion’s wider corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in Jordan, which focus on environmental sustainability and community collaboration.
