Jordan Daily- Classic Fashion, the leading textile company in Jordan, visited on Wednesday the Irbid Association for the Elderly yesterday as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
The visit was led by Khaled Abu Zaid, General Manager and Jayprakash Nair, Chief Administrative Officer of Classic Fashion, accompanied by several company employees. The delegation met with beneficiaries of the association’s services, which provide crucial support for elderly individuals in the area.
Abu Zaid expressed his satisfaction with the visit, noting that it highlights the company’s commitment to social initiatives. “Our company is a key employer in Jordan, with over 7,000 Jordanian employees. Today’s visit is part of our ongoing efforts to support humanitarian initiatives and fulfill our social responsibility,” Abu zaid said.
President of Irbid Association for the Elderly, Hussein Athamneh said that the association which was established in 2006 as a charity, provides specialized services for the elderly, noting it’s in the process of establishing a day club for seniors, offering a range of activities and services, supported by Jordanian universities and the Ministry of Health.
“University students contribute to the association’s efforts by completing volunteer work as part of their academic programs, he added, thanking Classic Fashion for the visit and its humanitarian initiatives.
The visit comes as part of Classic Fashion’s broader CSR activities, timed to coincide with the International Day of Peace, and reflects the company’s dedication to contributing to the local community.
