Jordan Daily – Dr. Ayman Al-Maqableh, the Director of the Epidemiology Department at Jordan’s Ministry of Health, revealed that preliminary test results for 12 people who had close contact with a Mpox patient have all come back negative.
Dr. Al-Maqableh noted that the individuals tested included the patient’s immediate family members and a household worker. All have tested negative so far for the virus.
He further confirmed that these close contacts are currently in quarantine and under medical supervision. While they have shown no symptoms and initial tests are negative, they will remain in isolation for a 21-day period. During this time, they will be retested to confirm they are free of the virus, as it is still possible for positive results to emerge before the quarantine concludes.
