Jordan Daily – Comoros President Azali Assoumani sustained minor injuries from a stabbing on Friday, according to sources close to the presidency, as reported by Agence France-Presse. The government’s spokesperson emphasized that his life is not in danger following the “attack.”
A source close to the presidency, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that “President Azali Assoumani suffered minor injuries from a stabbing during a funeral ceremony,” adding that “his wounds are not serious,” and the two assailants have been arrested.
Two other sources close to the presidency also confirmed that Assoumani’s injuries are minor.
