Jordan Daily – Michael Orfaly, the senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers -PwC Jordan said that the recent visit by the Crown Prince , HRH Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II , to the company highlights Jordan’s significant contributions to establishing multi-disciplinary centers of excellence, digitally enabled and led by top talent.
In remarks to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), seen by Jordan Daily ,Orfaly said, “We consider this visit a clear indication of our deep commitment to exploring the immense potential of Jordanian youth and our contribution to the development of the economic landscape in the Kingdom. Undoubtedly, it strengthens our determination and motivation to continue our journey towards innovation.”
The Crown Prince recently visited PwC Middle East offices in Amman, one of the global professional services firms providing about 1,500 job opportunities for Jordanians. During the visit, he was briefed on the latest technological solutions and techniques adopted by the company to enhance digital transformation.
Regarding digital transformation efforts in Jordan, Orfaly said that Jordan has made significant strides in its digital transformation journey, through infrastructure development, diversification of digital applications to serve citizens and the Jordanian economy, and investment in youth and skills development.
He added that digital transformation is a long-term and continuous journey for any country seeking to acquire the components of the global economy in the future. It requires continuous investment, finding opportunities and solutions that support digital competitiveness, especially investing in developing youth skills to be ready and prepared to face future challenges and take advantage of the opportunities resulting from digital transformation.
Orfaly confirmed that PwC is working to drive growth in the region, committed to developing young, multi-disciplinary talent in the Kingdom. “We always look forward to supporting the next generation on their journey towards a technologically enabled future, and we aim to enhance economic development and growth opportunities.”
He pointed out that the company’s efforts are aimed at establishing Jordan’s position as a center of excellence based on digital capabilities, managed by talented workforce, in order to provide services throughout the Middle East region.
