Jordan Daily – King Abdullah University Hospital and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jordan signed an agreement on Sunday for the third phase of a medical equipment grant, part of the Czech Republic’s Middle East Reconstruction Program 2022-2024.
The agreement, signed by the hospital’s General Director, Dr. Khuldoon Al-Bashayra, and acting Czech chargé d’affaires, Sylva Pavlasová, includes the rehabilitation of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the women’s health department, and the 10th-floor patient wards at the hospital.
Bashayra highlighted that the generous Czech donation will enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. He stressed the importance of medical aid from the Czech government in strengthening the hospital’s offerings.
Pavlasova, in turn, expressed her appreciation for the hospital’s efforts in delivering top-notch healthcare services to Jordanian citizens.
She reaffirmed the Czech Republic’s commitment to supporting Jordan’s healthcare sector, noting that the grant aims to improve service quality, expand the hospital’s capacity, and better manage the increasing patient influx, particularly in maternity and pediatric care.
