Jordan Daily – The Czech Republic donated medical equipment to a Jordanian hospital on Monday, the second year of its aid programme to the Middle East, its ambassador said.
Ambassador Alexandr Sporýš handed over the equipment to Dr. Khaldoun Bashaera, the general director of King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) , which serves patients from across Jordan and hosts many Syrian refugees.
“The Czech Republic is committed to supporting the health sector in Jordan and we are ready to offer more assistance to the hospital to improve the quality of health services for the patients,” Sporýš said.
He noted the grant aimed to increase the hospital’s capacity to cope with the growing demand for medical care, especially from the refugees who fled the war in neighbouring Syria.
