Jordan Daily – Dar Aldawa’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Khaled Harb and Marketing Director Dr. Fares Matar visited Uzbekistan to discuss potential collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector, the Jordan-based company said.
The visit was coordinated with the Uzbek Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, where the delegation was received by the agency’s Chairman of the Board and First Deputy Minister of Health, Abdulla Azizov.
Talks focused on expanding cooperation through technology transfer and joint manufacturing of high-demand medicines, Dar Aldawa said. The two sides also discussed supporting exports of Jordanian-made pharmaceuticals to Uzbekistan and, in turn, Uzbek-produced medicines to markets across the Middle East and North Africa.
The meeting highlighted the strategic role of Tashkent Pharma Park and its growing distribution network, underscoring the rapid expansion of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry.
As part of the visit, the Dar Aldawa delegation toured several leading pharmaceutical plants, reviewing production lines, equipment, and infrastructure, and exploring further opportunities for partnership with local companies.
Dar Aldawa, a leading Jordanian pharmaceutical company, exports more than 250 products to over 40 countries and employs around 760 people, 30% of whom are women.
