
Jordan Daily – The Embassy of India in Amman, in association with Indian Diaspora, organised ‘Viksit Bharat (Developed India) Run 2025’ on 26 September 2025.
The run reflected the transformative progress India has achieved in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, technology, education, and sustainability under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Indian community in Amman reaffirmed its commitment to the vision of Viksit Bharat, by joining in the run, the Embassy said in a statement received by Jordan Daily.
Under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation,” approx. 100 Indian diaspora members came together for the community run, turning the event into a statement of collectiveness. More than a fitness activity, the event celebrated the ideals of spirit of service and echoed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India @ 2047.
The Viksit Bharat Run became a platform for diaspora engagement and youth mobilisation, reinforcing the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – “the world is one family.” Indian communities in all major cities of the world will run together on 28 September 2025, taking pride in their heritage and reaffirming their role in India’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat.
The Viksit Bharat Run 2025 carried a strong message of unity, resilience, and shared responsibility, while also showcasing India’s cultural and developmental strides. The run sowed seeds of hope and service for a stronger, developed and self-reliant India rooted in service and global leadership. The Run is being organized worldwide as an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India jointly with MY Bharat.
In addition to the run, a plantation drive in the name of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was also organised by the Mission, in partnership with the Indian Diaspora and Al Balqa University at their campus in Irbid on 27 September 2025. Around 100 participants participated in the planting of 50 saplings in the University campus, which included members of the Indian Diaspora and University officials & students, underscoring the link between personal responsibility and environmental sustainability. The act served as a living reminder of India’s commitment to building a greener planet.
