Jordan Daily – The Greater Karak Municipality, in partnership with the Business Development Center (BDC), has inked deals to back female-led enterprises in Karak governorate as part of the “Towards Enhancing Women’s Economic Participation” initiative, a statement said on Tuesday.
The EU-funded scheme, steered by the Euro-Mediterranean Feminist Initiative alongside BDC and Tamkeen for Legal Aid and Human Rights, aims to bolster women’s entry into the workforce by financing their small to medium-sized businesses, enhancing skills, and fostering private sector employment opportunities.
Following a series of training and awareness programs that benefited 307 women in life skills and 44 in entrepreneurship, this latest phase continues the project’s efforts to empower women economically across Karak.
