Jordan Daily – Thousands gathered in downtown Amman on Friday night to attend a free concert marking Europe Day 2025, organized by the European Union in Jordan in cooperation with the Austrian and Spanish embassies.
The event, held at the historic Roman Amphitheater, featured performances by Jordanian singer Aziz Maraka, Spanish group Los Manolos, and the Austria-based Orwa Saleh Ensemble, joined by vocalist Zeina Athamnos.
Maraka opened the night with an energetic set, followed by a lively Mediterranean performance by Los Manolos. The evening concluded with a soulful act by Saleh’s ensemble, blending Eastern and Western musical traditions.
Speaking at the event, EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas said: This year, we dedicate Europe Day to Jordan and its youth. Tonight, music has brought us together as one family, reminding us that unity in diversity is not only a European value but a universal aspiration.
The EU delegation extended its gratitude to event sponsors Royal Jordanian and Fairmont Amman, as well as all partners who contributed to the celebration.
Europe Day, celebrated annually on May 9, marks the anniversary of the 1950 Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundation for the European Union.
