FM, Cypriot counterpart discuss ties, region
JD – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on Thursday, discussed with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides ways to boost bilateral ties and a wide range of Middle East region issues.
During a phone call, the two top diplomats stressed the need to continue enhancing collaboration, as the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next month.
The two ministers highlighted the need to build on the outcomes of the trilateral summit that brought together the leaders of Jordan, Cyprus and Greece last year.
They agreed on continued consultation and coordination between the two countries, as the Cypriot minster praised His Majesty King Abdullah II’s role in fostering security and stability in the Middle East region.
