
Jordan Daily – As part of global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Jordan Breast Cancer Program organized a community event in Aqaba aimed at promoting early detection and public education about the disease, with GIA Apparels Industry participating as a sponsor.
The festival, held under the patronage of Shadi Al-Majali, Chairman of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), was attended on his behalf by Karimah Abed Mustafa Aldabet ,Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Thabet Al Nabulsi ,Commissioner for Tourism & Youth Affairs.

Executive Director of Jordan Breast Cancer Program, Reem Al-Ajlouni also attended the event, which featured educational activities and awareness sessions encouraging women to perform regular self-examinations and seek early screening.
“Education about breast cancer is a cornerstone of Pink October,” said Wala Abu Al-Ezz, Aqaba Liaison Officer for Program. “Our goal is to break the barrier of fear and embarrassment surrounding the disease and build a culture of knowledge, psychological support, and social solidarity.”

As part of its corporate social responsibility, GIA Apparels Industry, a subsidiary of Classic Fashion, sponsored the event. “Breast Cancer Awareness Month is not just about wearing pink – it’s about spreading knowledge, inspiring hope, and supporting one another,” said Jimlesh Mathew, General Manager, Commercial at Classic Fashion’s GIA. “Together, we can bring change through compassion and understanding.”

Raya Abu Dalbouh from Classic Fashion CSR team added that the company’s participation reaffirms its commitment to community well-being and women’s health awareness.
The Aqaba celebration was one of several Kingdomwide initiatives held throughout October to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and promote a culture of support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
