Jordan Daily – Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) is working to address GPS interference in the country, but ongoing regional military activity makes a full resolution difficult, according to Nidal Samara, head of the TRC’s Spectrum Management Division.
The interference has been detected in areas across the Eastern Mediterranean, including Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine. With no technical solution available, Samara suggested using traditional navigation methods as a temporary alternative.
Authorities causing the interference have not responded to requests from Jordan or neighboring countries,Samara noted.
