Jordan Daily – Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi in Athens on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and efforts to halt Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Mitsotakis and Safadi focused on establishing a permanent ceasefire and addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They emphasized the importance of delivering sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
The discussions also covered preventing the conflict from spreading to Lebanon and the West Bank and initiating international efforts to resolve the conflict through a two-state solution in line with international resolutions.
They explored ways to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors within the trilateral cooperation framework with Cyprus and the European Union.
Safadi conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Abdullah to Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, expressing a desire to strengthen the partnership between Jordan and Greece. Mitsotakis reciprocated, sending his greetings to King Abdullah and highlighting the significance of Jordan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Earlier, Safadi held talks with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis to further discuss these issues.
