Hailing from the vibrant city of Nablus, Mahmoud chose to embark on a career in the enchanting world of sweet confections. With unwavering determination and a profound love for the artistry of dessert-making, Mahmoud took up a position at a modest Kunafa shop in the renowned Bab Al-Khalil district.
In 1948, as political turmoil swept through the region, Mahmoud’s journey led him to the capital of Jordan, Amman. Determined to pursue his passion and share his expertise, he set foot in this vibrant city, eager to contribute to its culinary landscape. The year marked a significant turning point in his life, as he planted the seeds of what would eventually blossom into an extraordinary legacy.
Joined by his two sons, Hani and Hisham, Mahmoud’s commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic propelled them forward. In 1985, the family made the decision to venture forth independently, and thus, Al-Haj Mahmoud Habibah & Sons Co. was born. Their relentless dedication and innovative spirit soon revolutionized the realm of sweet delicacies, earning them an impeccable reputation and an ever-expanding customer base.
With every passing day, the company’s sales soared, necessitating further expansion and the establishment of new outlets to cater to the growing demands of their cherished patrons. In 1986, the second branch graced the Al-Wehdat area on Madaba Road, followed by a third branch on King Hussein Street, in the heart of downtown Amman. As their influence spread, the company diversified its offerings to include an array of delectable treats, carefully crafted to cater to the diverse palates of their discerning clientele.
In 1997, Al-Haj Mahmoud Habibah & Sons Co. opened its fourth branch in the Tlaa’ Al-Ali area, situated on Al-Madina Al-Munawwara Street, a testament to their commitment to serving the residents of Amman West. At the helm of the company, a skilled and passionate team diligently conducts market studies and surveys, ensuring the constant development and refinement of their sweet offerings. The company’s unyielding pursuit of excellence is exemplified by their aspiration to open branches throughout the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and expand their footprint internationally.
Driven by an unrelenting desire to embrace growth, development, and specialization, the idea of establishing a dedicated central factory dedicated to sweets production took shape. In 1994, their vision materialized in the form of a state-of-the-art facility in the North Marka area. Equipped with cutting-edge machinery and equipment, this factory commenced production in 1995, producing an extensive range of Arab and foreign sweets. Its primary purpose is to provide all branches of the company with the delectable delights they require, ensuring customers enjoy the highest quality treats, readily available for purchase.
