Jordan Daily – The rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris Chems-Eddine Hafiz, described Hamas as a “terrorist group” and accused the Palestinian resistance of committing “horrific massacres” in an interview with a French TV channel.
Hafiz, who is of Algerian origin, told BFM TV that he sympathised with the victims of Oct. 7, referring to the operation “Al-Aqsa Storm” carried out by the Palestinian resistance, claiming that what happened was “horrific massacres”.
When asked about his opinion of Hamas and whether he considered it a terrorist group,Hafiz said directly: “Of course, we said that in the statement. I don’t want to pour oil on the fire. What I want today is not to bring this conflict (to France).
He continued by saying “We must coexist ,Muslims and Jews as brothers… We share their pain and sorrow today”. He added: “What I want is the return of the hostages so that my Jewish brothers feel happy”.
