Jordan Daily – Huawei Jordan organized its annual Job Fair at the King Abdullah II School for Information Technology at the University of Jordan, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local talent and offering meaningful career opportunities for graduates in the fields of telecommunications engineering and information technology.

The event opened with remarks by Mr. Yang Ming, CEO of Huawei Jordan, who welcomed attendees and emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering fresh graduates, Huawei said in a statement.

He stated that Huawei is dedicated to recruiting young talent without the requirement of prior professional experience, believing that passion, potential, and ambition are key drivers of success in the technology industry.

A keynote address was delivered by Prof. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan, who highlighted the strategic value of collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector. He noted that partnerships with global leaders such as Huawei help bridge the gap between education and market needs, and create real-world pathways for students to transition into high-impact careers.

The event was also attended by the Deanship of the King Abdullah II School for Information Technology, along with professors, academic doctors, and faculty members from the university. They expressed strong support for the initiative, underscoring the importance of industry engagement in preparing students for the demands of the digital economy.

During the fair, Huawei provided comprehensive insights into its 2025 employment plan, highlighting a wide range of career opportunities across its various ICT solution departments. In addition, Huawei presented its robust onboarding and career development programs, which are designed to equip new hires with both technical competencies and soft skills essential for thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment.

It was also announced that selected candidates will not only have opportunities to work within Huawei Jordan, but will also be eligible to apply for roles at Huawei offices across the Middle East and Central Asia, as part of the company’s regional talent development and mobility programs.

This initiative reflects Huawei’s broader strategy to contribute to Jordan’s digital transformation journey by investing in national talent and fostering long-term partnerships with academic institutions. Huawei reiterated its belief that empowering youth and integrating them into the ICT sector is vital to building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

The job fair witnessed strong participation from students and recent graduates, who engaged actively with Huawei’s representatives. Their high level of interest reflects the aspirations of Jordanian youth to become part of the global tech landscape and contribute meaningfully to the region’s digital future, the statement noted.
