Ibn Sina University hosts awareness lecture on early detection of breast cancer

Jordan Daily – As part of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Center, organized an awareness lecture highlighting the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer.

Medical experts and specialists emphasized that awareness is the first line of defense, fostering a culture of regular screening and making early detection a deeply rooted social practice rather than a campaign-dependent activity.

The session also featured the testimony of a cancer survivor, underscoring that early detection can be the key to survival and a renewed life – while neglecting it could result in a significant loss.

Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community health initiatives, noting that participation in awareness campaigns, particularly those promoting early screening, helps protect women and families, making treatment journeys faster, easier, and more hopeful.
