Ibn Sina University hosts anti-drug awareness lecture

Jordan Daily – Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department, held an awareness lecture on Monday addressing the dangers of drug abuse,

The lecture was delivered by Major Nabil Al-Rawashdeh, head of the Awareness and Education Division at the Anti-Narcotics Department. Al-Rawashdeh discussed the types of commonly used drugs and their associated health, psychological, and social risks. He also outlined the legal consequences of drug use and trafficking.

Emphasizing the critical role of youth in combating drug abuse, Al-Rawashdeh called for stronger collaboration between educational institutions and security agencies to promote awareness and build a drug-free society.

The event was organized by the university’s Public Relations Department and Student Affairs Unit as part of its ongoing community engagement efforts. It is one in a series of initiatives aimed at educating students on issues that directly impact their lives and future.
