
Jordan Daily – Faculty members from Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences took part in the 8th International Congress of Jordanian Society of Pathologists (JSP), held in Amman on May 8-9, under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein.
The conference, themed “The Next Generation of Pathology,” brought together physicians, pathologists, and artificial intelligence experts from around the world to discuss the latest developments in disease diagnosis, AI applications in pathology, and modern assessment methods. Over the course of three days, participants presented 46 scientific papers.
Dr. Luma Fayyad, a faculty member at Ibn Sina University and consultant pathologist at Jordan Hospital, delivered a lecture titled “The Changing Landscape of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) Assessment: A New Era in Breast Cancer Pathology.” Her presentation highlighted advances in HER2 receptor evaluation and their role in improving the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
Other university participants included Dr. Hend Salah, Dr. Aya Al-Qadri, and Dr. Khaldoun Abu Al-Ghanam, who underscored the significance of the event as a platform for knowledge exchange and promoting scientific research in pathology.
