Ibn Sina University wins three awards at English Language Olympiad (ELO)

Jordan Daily – Under the patronage of Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the 2024 Global English Language Olympiad (ELO) concluded with notable achievements from Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences.

Two teams from the university’s faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, “The Innovators,” led by coach Jude Tarawneh, and “Avengers,” led by coach Mohammed Al-Tawil, participated in the competition. Preparation for the event spanned an entire year, with strong support from the university president, deans, and the Student Affairs Unit. The participation was supervised by Hassan Bani Issa, who facilitated logistical and organizational efforts.

The Olympiad saw fierce competition among 58 teams from various Jordanian and Arab universities.

Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences secured three prestigious awards:

  1. Third Place Award – Team Work
  2. Best Community Service – Impact
  3. Best Team Photo

The university’s participation reflects its commitment to enhancing students’ cultural and artistic levels alongside their academic achievements, as well as empowering them to excel in both local and international competitions.
