ICS, Emirates Urological Society to host first joint Middle East continence conference

Jordan Daily – The International Continence Society (ICS) and the Emirates Urological Society (EUS) will host their first joint Middle East urological conference in 2025, bringing global and regional experts together to address advances in continence care and reduce stigma around incontinence.

ICS-EUS 2025 will run for three days, from 17–20 September 2025,offering workshops, roundtables and lectures for urologists, gynecologists, geriatricians, physiotherapists, nurses and allied health professionals across the Gulf. Sessions will cover prevention, holistic wellbeing, culturally sensitive treatment and digital innovations such as AI-driven diagnostics and mobile monitoring.

“ICS-EUS is more than a scientific meeting- it’s a chance to break the silence around incontinence, reduce stigma, and bring practical solutions to patients’ lives,” said Dr. John Heesakkers, General Secretary of ICS in a statement seen by Jordan Daily.

EUS will lead four hands-on workshops and four expert-led roundtables across sub-specialties including andrology, urolithiasis, uro-oncology and urotechnology. “ICS-EUS 2025 offers a unique opportunity for clinicians to gain insights, exchange best practices, and connect with both regional and international peers,” said Dr. Yasser Saeedi, President of EUS.

The conference will also highlight regional health challenges. Research shows overweight women face a 35% higher risk of urinary incontinence, while obesity nearly doubles the likelihood. In the UAE, almost 30% of adults are obese and over 17% have diabetes, worsening the burden.

The event is accredited with 28.5 European CME credits and 23.5 CPD hours. GCC participants are eligible for discounts and promotional offers on registration until Sept. 7, 2025.
